Overview
Nishiki ichiba is a local food market. It is called 'Kitchen of Kyoto(Kyo no daidokoro in Japanese)'. There are a lot of shops both sides of the narrow street that is called Nishiki street. They sell fresh and tasty foods such as vegitables, meat, fish, fruits.
They also serve street foods for tourist, and some shops serve sample foods. You can taste different kind of foods. To walk there is free, but don't forget that it's the market. they want you to buy their products of course.
